ASIDE FROM REPAIRING

ASIDE FROM REPAIRING the damaged Cawayan intake tank (top right), the Virac Water District is constructing another intake tank at the other bank (top right) to increase water supply to its constituents at a cost of P1.5-M project. On the other hand, a ground water source (bottom photos) in Imperial Homes Subdivision will be operational once the facility is connected to the existing main line 300 meters away. There is a plan to install solar power for the facility to save on fuel costs. The district has allocated P10 million for the drilling of the deep well, installation of submersible pump, construction of pump house, electrical connection and pipelaying. At Inagasan river, the district is spending P13 million for the 1.6-kilometer, 8-inch steel pipeline that will connect an existing DPWH-constructed intake tank and 700-meters of pipe to the main transmission line supplying the población area.
