DISCONNECTED BUT NOT GONE. The diesel gensets rented by the National Power Corporation under the Interim Power Supply Agreement (IPSA) are now disconnected from the grid, following the contract’s expiration last Aug. 10, 2026 after 60 days of operation. NPC officials reportedly declined FICELCO’s request for extension of the IPSA as the power produced was cheaper due to the subsidy enjoyed by NPC.
