Valencia, Virac, Catanduanes

22 January 2020

Dear Editor:

Please help me connect with proper authorities that can improve the image of Catanduanes as a tourist-rich happy island.

The national highway from Sto. Domingo bridge (Brgy. Valencia side) to Petersville Subdivision poses a hazard to motorists, especially at night, because of the following:

  1. Dregs of mixed cement dumped by the cement mixer (of the contractor)
  2. Unfinished construction work along the highway without proper signage
  3. Poorly maintained national highway, littered with sand
  4. No street lights from the bridge to the crossroad going to Buyo that may be considered as an accident-prone area

Thank you so much for your prompt and effective channeling.
