A farmer in Pandan town will face a criminal charge for violation of forestry laws after he was caught in the act of hauling undocumented lumber last Saturday evening.
Joint elements of the 2nd Police Mobile Force Company 4th Platoon led by Pat. Arnel E. Floralde and under the direct supervision of PLt. Jessie Lloyd N. Almosa, together with Pandan MPS personnel led by Pat. Kelben T. Martirez, arrested Alberto Velarde Crispino, 57, of barangay Libod, while “dragging” 16 pieces of lumber of various sizes at 10:12 PM of Aug. 9, 2025 in barangay Lumabao.
The farmer and the lumber, with an estimated volume of 98 board feet and market value of P9,800, has been confiscated and is now in custody of the town police.
