Const’n worker hurt in Bato highway accident

A construction worker from Virac sustained bodily injuries after his motorcycle crashed into the rear of a tricycle along the national highway in Bato town last week.

Police said that Elee Vargas Beo, 22, a resident of Capilihan, was driving his Rusi 125 motorcycle at about 11 PM of Nov. 17, 2025 when he suddenly bumped the tricycle ahead of him.

The motorcycle did have a plate number while the driver, who was brought to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center, did not have a driver’s license.

The driver of the Kimco Visar 110 top-down motorcycle, Moreto Ebuenga Traqueña, 52, also a construction worker from Binanuahan, Bato was slightly injured but refused medical intervention. His passenger, fellow worker Ruben Torrecampo Techon, 65, escaped unharmed.

Beo could face a criminal charge for reckless imprudence resulting in slight physical injury.
