A construction worker from Virac was apprehended by the police last Sunday, July 21, 2024, on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by a Batangas court 11 years ago in connection with a homicide case.
Elements of the San Miguel police station, together with the Catanduanes 1dt Provincial Mobile Force Company, arrested Edwin Magdaraog Torres, 46, married and a resident of Sogod Tibgao, Virac, in sitio Takulalag, barangay Kilikilihan last Sunday at 4:15 PM.
The report said the warrant was issued by Judge Danilo Sandoval of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12, Lipa City, Batangas, on July 29, 2013 for the crime of homicide under Criminal Case No. 0621-2012, with recommended bail of P40,000.
