A 46-year-old farmer faces twin frustrated homicide raps for hacking two brothers who stopped him from attacking his own father-in-law in Caramoran the other Tuesday.
Responding elements of the town police apprehended Zaldy Cestina Billo in barangay Maysuram shortly after he turned on Ronaldo Iducan de Leon, 43, a farmer, and his elder brother Alberto, 46, an abaca stripper.
Initial investigation showed that at about 11:50 PM of June 4, 2024, Billo was having a drinking spree with his own father, Villar Idusora, inside their house when they had a heated argument.
The suspect tried to hack his father several times but the latter managed to evade the thrusts.
Upon hearing the argument, the de Leon brothers pacified Zaldy but instead the latter hacked Rolando in the back of his right hand while Alberto was hit on his head, left hand and back of the shoulder.
The victims were brought by family members to the Pandan district hospital for immediate treatment
Barangay officials assisted the police in arresting the suspect.
