A resident of San Andres was seriously injured when he rammed his motorcycle into a parked tricycle along the national road in barangay Timbaan last Oct. 15, 2022.
According to the initial investigation conducted by investigator PSSg Aldrin Binalla, Jonas Lumbao Solla, 23, of Comagaycay, was driving a Honda Dash 125, with a friend riding at the back, from Mamangal Beach in Balite, Virac at about 6 PM when the accident occurred,
The motorcycle crashed into the parked tricycle owned by Joel Habana Jr., with the impact inflicting a head injury on Solla and breaking his thigh bone. His companion fortunately survived with only bruises on his body.
Personnel of the San Andres Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office who responded to the accident scene brought the victim to the Juan M. Alberto Memorial District Hospital, with Solla later transferred to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center for needed medical attention.
It was learned that the driver had no license to drive and was under the influence of intoxicating liquor at the time as per assessment of the doctor on duty at the JMA hospital.
