Tariman’s first book of poetry out in December

Pablo A. Tariman first book of poetry – Love, Life and Loss During the Pandemic – will be released in December 2021.
The Bicolano poet spoke as a resource person on “Responding to the Pandemic Through Poetry,” an online forum sponsored by the University of the Philippines Baguio in February 2021.
He is more known for having covered the performing arts for various publications for the past 45 years. He was a Manila Chronicle music columnist and later wrote the weekly “View from the Wings” in Sunday Inquirer Magazine. He continues to cover the arts for the online publications Vera Files and The Diarist.Ph.
His first poems were published in Sunday Times Magazine and Expressweek. His latest ones, written during the pandemic and initially posted on Facebook, came out in Manila Bulletin, Vera Files, Philippine Star, he Diarist.Ph and Catanduanes Tribune.
He greeted Amanda Gorman, America’s Youth Poet Laureate, with a poem, “A Poet Is a Lonely Hunter,” after President Biden’s inauguration. His poem, along with his greetings, landed in the young poet’s FB timeline and was liked by netizens from Los Angeles to Zambia to the Philippines.
Two of his poems were selected for the anthology The Best Asian Poetry 2021 published in Singapore.
Tariman was born and raised in Baras, Catanduanes, and now has six grandchildren.
Tariman’s book has cover design by Jennifer Patricia A. Carino and book cover by Carlo Gianan de Leon.
The Island Edition of the book is priced at P700 per copy including delivery.
