1 killed in motorcycle collision

A relative of a provincial board member was reportedly killed last Sunday, March 7, 2021 in a collision between two motorcycles in San Andres town.

The police report said that Nel Qua, 48, a meat vendor from Esperanza, was driving a Honda TMX motorcycle with mechanic Erick Nasayao, 39, a native of Albay residing in Belmonte, at about 6:30 P.M. from the poblacion and was about to turn left into the motorpool of Cua Group of Companies when it was bumped by a yellow Motorstar with no plate number driven by construction worker Joel Toledo, 29, of Sapang Palay, coming from the opposite direction.

Qua and his companion fell to the hard pavement and sustained serious injuries, with the former reportedly declared dead on arrival at the JMA Memorial District Hospital where the unconscious victims were rushed by responding MDRRMO rescue personnel.

The suspect allegedly fled after the incident.
