Payo troublemaker yields gun, bullets

A man who fired a gun during an altercation in Panganiban town was arrested by the police shortly after it happened last week.

TWIN CRIMINAL CHARGES are set to be filed against this Panganiban resident who fired an unlicensed gun during a neighborhood quarrel last week.

Informed of the incident at 8:30 A.M. of March 11, 2020, responding lawmen went to barangay San Miguel where they intercepted Rudy Clopino Turado, 36, a resident of Bagong Bayan. He yielded a Cal. 45 Armscor pistol with serial number 1335750, 14 bullets and two magazines.

The report did not state why Turado had the gun with him.

He remains in custody of the police along with the evidence pending the filing of criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and alarm and scandal.

Meanwhile, a Cal. 22 revolver was surrendered to the San Miguel police station last week following the enhanced Oplan Katok campaign of the police under the leadership of Capt. Voltaire Jun Pedido.

The report said a project consultant gave up the Tell revolver with serial number 156885, presumably with expired license. It will remain in custody of the police pending approval of its license.
