CNHS, VPES student journalists dominate 2023 Division Presscon

Students from the Catanduanes National High School (CNHS) and Virac Pilot Elementary School (VPES) ruled the 2023 Division Press Conference held recently in separate venues in the capital town of Virac.

In the secondary level competition that played out at Calatagan High School on May 26-28, the CNHS writers and broadcasters held sway in four of the 18 individual events and four of the eight group events to end up with a total of 276 points.

Pandan School of Arts and Trades (PSAT) was first runner-up with 175 points, with three first-placers individual events, while Caramoran Rural Development High School (CRDHS) took 2^nd runner-up with 145 points.

Bato Rural Development High School and San Andres Vocational School ended up tied for 3^rd runner-up with identical 138 points while Baras Rural Development High School was fourth runner-up.

In the elementary press conference held at Virac Central Elementary School on May 29-31, Virac Pilot Elementary School maintained its dominance with another championship, followed by Bato Central ESl as first runner-up and San Andres Central ES as second runner-up.
