2022 a year of awards for Christian pastor-educator

With three awards in a row, the head pastor of a Christian congregation, who is also a head teacher at the San Miguel Rural Development High School, has much to thank for following a bountiful harvest of recognition from award-giving bodies.

Reverend Franklin O. Arcilla, D.D., Head Pastor of Bible Christian Baptist Mission Catanduanes Inc, and Head Teacher III of San Miguel RDHS, began his streak at the Asia Pinnacle Awards at Okada Manila last Oct. 8, 2022 where he was named as Asia’s Outstanding Church Director & Career Guidance Advocate.

Three weeks later at the Waterfront Davao last Oct. 27, he again got an award as the Philippines “Man of Influence and Most Outstanding Educator of the Year,” followed by another recognition at the Asia Pacific Luminare Awards last Nov. 23 at Okada Manila as “Asia’s Man of Influence in the Field of Education & Most Exemplary Educator of the Year.”

Also recognized as awarded together with Rev. Arcilla were celebrities, political leaders, civic-minded individuals, business organizations and Non-Government Organizations from the Philippines and Asia Pacific countries who qualified and passed the scrutiny of the Awarding Council based on a set criteria.

Arcilla received a trophy, plaque and certificate of recognition together with other awardees of the national award-giving bodies which honored and recognized the excellent contributions of awardees in their respective spheres of influence which help and support the welfare of the Filipino people.

He expressed his gratitude to his nominators, sponsors and co-workers in the different sectors of the community where he is a member and officer in good standing for almost 15 years in the different organizations.

Aside from the two posts mentioned, he is also a six-termer executive vice president of the Federation of Career Guidance Advocates Network of the Philippines, Inc., six-termer regional president of Career Guidance Advocates Network, Bicol Chapter, regional director of the Higher Ground Baptist Mission Phils., regional chaplain of TAOC-IG, vice president of FICELCO’s Multi Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC), and provincial head of Rich Zion House of Prayer Philippines.

Prior to receiving the national awards, he also received the following recognitions: 1st DOLE ROV ORAGON Awardee given by DOLE Regional Director Nathaniel Lacambra; Gawad Parangal for Ten Outstanding Men & Women of the Philippines given by Director General of TAOC-IG & Butch Belgica of Presidential Commission on Religious Affairs, Malacanang; Certificate of Recognition as BOD of FCGANP Inc. given by DOLE Secretary Baldoz; Certificate of Recognition as BOD of FCGANP Inc. given by Secretary Silvestre Bello III; and Outstanding in IPCRF for three (3) consecutive years as Head Teacher III.

In Catanduanes, the awardee is an advocate of many programs in the different sectors of society and headed the Bible Christian Baptist Mission Catanduanes Inc. in feeding programs in selected barangays.

Arcilla also led a Campus Ministry at Catanduanes State University, Gift Giving to Children in Operation Christmas Child, relief distribution during calamities, Semestral & Summer Camp, Daily Vacation Bible School (Kids) and Moral Recovery Program, Catanduanes Medical Mission with CAUSA Inc. and First Response Radio with DWAY, Legazpi City. He is also a member of KABALIKAT 955, a socio-civic organization in the province.
