Const’n worker arrested in Albay wanted for murder in Catanduanes

Personnel from four police units in Albay and Catanduanes last week apprehended a construction worker in Manito, Albay who, along with two others, has been charged with murder in 2016.

Tiroy Balidoy, 30, a resident of barangay Balasbas, was arrested last Nov. 18 by combined elements of the Manito police station, Albay PNP Provincial Intelligence Unit, 2nd Police Mobile Force of the Albay PPO, Rapu-rapu police station and Viga police station headed by acting police chief Capt. Carlos Gales.

The accused has been the subject of a warrant of arrest signed by then Acting Presiding Judge Lelu P. Contreras under Criminal Case No. 5672 for the non-bailable charge of murder.

It was learned that he was charged along with four others in 2016 for the death of a resident of sitio Kanlangka. The other suspects remain at large and are being actively sought by the police so they could all face justice in court.

Meanwhile, the Caramoran police office has arrested the town’s No. 10 Municipal Most Wanted Person in an operation in the morning of Nov. 22.

Noel Ayuste, 41, a construction worker from Mauwi, was apprehended on the basis of the arrest warrant signed by RTC Branch 43 Presiding Judge Lelu P. Contreras in connection with the case for violation of Sec. 5(b), Article II of Republic Act 7610 or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act under Criminal Case No. 7458 with recommended bail of P180,000.

That same afternoon, the police nabbed a 20-year old student in Milaviga, Mark Allen Fuentes, who is facing a criminal charge for violation of Presidential Decree 705 or the Forestry Code of the Philippines under Criminal Case No. 7469 with bail set at P40,000.
