Bagamanoc police authorities are investigating the death of a man who was found dead hanging from a tree in sitio Sumagunsong in barangay Quigaray last July 3, 2020.
The report identified the dead body as that of Romeo Evangelista Vitalicio, 52, a resident of Magsaysay.
According to the official report, Vitalicio engaged in a drinking spree at 10 A.M. that day with his friends who were identified as Andoy Bandola and Buroy Tulod.
At around 5 P.M., Vitalicio left early for Quigaray saying he would put his goats to pasture. An hour later, his friends allegedly went looking for him and found Vitalicio already dead.
Municipal health officer Dr. Anabel Pelagio confirmed that the man died from asphyxia.
Meanwhile, a sales lady was arrested by Bato police last Saturday, July 3, after a court-ordered search of her home in Marinawa yielded a sachet of shabu.
A team led by Lt. Heraclio Vargas conducted the operation against Maria Belinda Saavedra Tarrobal, 35, on the basis of the search warrant issued by RTC Branch 42 Presiding Judge Genie G. Gapas-Agbada.
Found concealed in a lipstick tube was a sachet of shabu, which would be used as evidence in the filing of a criminal case against her for violation of Republic Act 9165.
