Abaca stripper nabbed for acts of lasciviousness

Police in San Andres town arrested an abaca stripper last week who was facing a criminal charge of acts of lasciviousness committed years ago.

Personnel led by SSg. Oscar Esquierda Jr. apprehended Martin Samonte, 55, a resident of Obi, Caramoran, last Jan. 20, 2020 at about 8:50 A.M. in San Isidro, San Andres.

The arrest was made pursuant to the warrant issued by then-Municipal Trial Court Judge Honesto Morales in connection with Criminal Case 2454 with bail fixed at P4,000 for his provisional liberty.

In Cagraray, Bato, PO1 Kristoffer Dan Garcia collared three persons accused of violation of Presidential Decree 1602 that provide stiffer penalties on illegal gambling.

Placed under custody were abaca strippers Joseph Templonuevo, 38, and Brando Torzar, 29, and businessman Reynante Tenerife, 36, all residents of the coastal village.

They were nabbed on the basis of the arrest warrant issued by Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Bato-San Miguel Judge Francisco Torres Jr. under Criminal Case No. 20-1634 with bail set at P2,000 each.
