A man working as a company truck driver in Pandan town turned out to be one of Cavite’s most wanted persons facing three counts of acts of lasciviousness,
Last June 5, 2026, personnel of Virac Municipal Police Station led by Chief of Police PMaj. Kenneth Ding C. Gutierrez, together with elements of the Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo MPS and the Cavite Provincial Police Office, Catanduanes Police Intelligence Unit, Highway Patrol Group, Regional Intelligence Unit, Maritime Police, the Virac Airport Police Station and Pandan Municipal Police Station served the arrest warrant on Ernesto Pabiton Zapanta Jr., then working as a truck driver at an establishment in barangay Napo.
A resident of Real Street, Castaños Cerca, Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite, the 47-year-old man was the subject of the arrest warrant issued by Family Court Branch 3 Presiding Judge Raquel Ventura Aspiras-Sanchez in Tagaytay City, Cavite, for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness under Criminal Case No. TG-25-1082(AA),TG-25-1083(AA) and TG-25-1084(AA), with bail recommended at P540,000.00.
After he was informed of the nature of the warrant and his constitutional rights, Zapanta was brought to the Virac MPS in San Isidro Village for the documentation and booking process prior to his return to the Cavite RTC.
Depending on the aggravating circumstances, the penalty for acts of lasciviousness range from six months to over six years in jail for each offense.
