Newly identified drug pusher falls in San Andres buy-bust

Joint personnel of the San Andres police station and the Catanduanes Police Intelligence Unit apprehended a newly identified street-level individual in a buy-bust operation last Mar. 11, 2026.

The suspect, identified as Jefferson Olido, 22, a jobless resident of Divino Rostro, was arrested by the team led by police chief PMaj. Francis Tabo I at 11:19 PM in barangay San Jose after selling shabu to a police officer who acted as a buyer.

Confiscated from him were a transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money, a coin purse, a glass tube and a Yamaha Mio 125 motorcycle used by Olido during the transaction.

The evidence was inventoried on site in the presence of the suspect and two mandatory suspects, a barangay kagawad of Belmonte and a staffer of the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor.

The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, for the sale of dangerous drugs.

The report said the operation is part of the unrelenting campaign against illegal drugs in the town, with the police urging the public to cooperate with the authorities in reporting suspicious activities in order to maintain peace and order, and safety in the community.
