At least eight students were injured last Sunday morning, Sept. 28, 2025 when a truck of the Caramoran local government unit reportedly lost its brakes and fell on its side along the national highway.
The report said 23 students being ferried by the LGU back to Virac were on board the “Libreng Sakay” truck when the mishap occurred at sitio Minabobo in barangay Milaviga, Caramoran.
Initial information from the town police and the Philippine Red Cross Catanduanes Chapter stated that those hurt were brought to the Caramoran municipal hospital in barangay Datag but four of them were transferred to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Hospital while a similar number was to be taken to the capital town for proper management.
