San Andres police nails rape suspect

A male suspect in the rape of a minor was arrested by the police the other Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025, in Timbaan, San Andres.

Law enforcers of the San Andres police station led by police chief PMaj. Francis T. Tabo I, together with the personnel of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) immediately responded to the call for assistance of a barangay official regarding the rape incident.

The suspect, who was previously charged with rape in another incident, was nabbed with the help of barangay officials and witnesses.

He is now in custody of the San Andres MPS and is facing criminal charges for violation of Republic Act 8353 or the Anti-Rape Law of 1997 in relation to Republic Act 7610 or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”
