Three more injured in separate accidents

Separate vehicular accidents in Pandan, Baras and San Miguel town last week injured three persons while in Virac a 19-year-old female student was reported missing by her parents.

In Del Norte, Pandan last May 5, 2024, farmer Ruel Angulo, 41, of barangay Sta. Cruz, was driving a Rusi 110 motorcycle without plate number with seven-year-old Ereneo Evangelista, a Grade 7 pupil at Pandan School of Arts and Trades (PSAT), at 3 PM when they were bumped from behind by a Honda tricycle driven by Deo Cillian, 24, of Napo.

Evangelista sustained an injury to the lower part of his right leg and was brought by responding personnel of the Pandan police station to the district hospital.

In Tilod, Baras, a seven-year-old girl was crossing the road when she was hit by a passing motorcycle in the afternoon of May 1.

She reportedly lost consciousness and suffered injuries to her face, hip and leg.

In Paraiso, San Miguel on the same day, a 40-year-old man was taken to the Eastern Bicol Medical Center for treatment of injuries to his head and neck when he figured in an accident on board his tricycle.

It was claimed the driver could not recall how the incident occurred as he was in a state of intoxication.

Both the accidents in Baras and San Miguel were not entered in the police blotter.

In Virac, the parents of a 19-year-old female student has reported her missing after attending an activity at a school in the poblaciĆ³n last May 4.

Joseph Manlangit, 47, of Hawan Grande, told the police that his daughter, Joyziel Fernandez Manlangit left their house at around 7 AM that day to take the entrance examination at the Catanduanes State University (CatSU) after which she reportedly proceeded to the Christian Polytechnic Institute of Catanduanes (CPIC) to attend a joint delivery voucher program.

She failed to return home that afternoon, prompting her parents to report her disappearance to the police.

She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue pants after attending the program at CPIC.
