BICOL POLICE CHIEF BGen. Andre Perez Dizon (right) shares a light moment with Governor Joseph C. Cua and Vice Governoe Peter C. Cua during the former’s courtesy call on the top provincial officials last Feb. 6, 2024. BGen. Dizon was accompanied by his staff as well as Catanduanes Police Director Col. Rayan Ador.

Police Regional Office 5 Director BGen. Andre Perez Dizon reminded Catanduanes police officers to show their love for their badge by providing quality service to the people.

In his first visit to the island since being named to the top post in Bicol, RD Dizon made call during the traditional talk to the men and women in uniform at Camp Francisco Camacho police headquarters after paying a courtesy call on Governor Joseph Cua and Vice Governor Peter Cua at the Capitol in the morning of Feb. 6, 2024.

He stressed to the local police the mission to mold them to be “Approachable, Presentable and Dependable” pursuant to the program he is implementing.

“Bilang sarong ama, na muya nyang taw’an ki giya, taw’an ki direksyon su saiyang mga aki, na habo ko na masala nindo ako na dai ko kamo ni remind, na dai ko kamo dinigdi, dai ko kamo sinabihan na arog kaiyan and direksyon ta,” BGen. Dizon stated. “Dai man kita ki ibang pigmamawot kundi ang quality ng service ng PNP, kasi gusto natin na pagdating ng araw, makikita natin na snappy pa rin yung institution na pinanggalingan natin.”

The Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon native said that he personally visited the command to say to them face-to-face to love the police service because it feeds their families.

“Ito yung pinagtatangkaan din ng iba na pasukin pero hindi pinalad. Iilan lang tayo sa 117 milyon na Filipino na pinagkalooban ng badge na yan ng trabaho sa PNP. Ganun po tayo ka-swerte, kaya suklian din natin ng maayos na serbisyo,” he pointed out.

The brief visit to the island was his first since the PNP Academy SANDIGAN Class 1994 member was appointed as the 42nd PRO5 director in December 2023 and the last among the six Bicol provinces.

At the conference room at the Office of the Governor, BGen. Dizon exchanged pleasantries with the province’s top leaders and disclosed that he has instructed Catanduanes police director Col. Rayan Ador to reorganize and revitalize the Barangay Intelligence Network and other police force multipliers to assist in the maintenance of peace and security on the island and its 315 barangays.
