Newly designated Bicol PNP Regional Director BGen. Westrimundo Obinque brought new rifles and other equipment on his first visit to Camp Francisco Camacho in Virac last Monday, May 22, 2023.
The keynote speaker during the opening of the 7th Abaca Festival, BGen. Obinque turned over to the Catanduanes police two Galil light machine guns and 49 Galil automatic rifles, 10,000 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, and 16 pairs of combat helmets and enhanced bulletproof vests intended for the two Police Mobile Force companies, and 10 sets of desktop computers with printers.
The PNP brass also presided over the blessing of a utility truck costing P4.9 million as well as five Honda 150cc motorcycles donated by the provincial government of Catanduanes.
