Police arrests San Andres’ Most Wanted, nabs Baras pusher

The Catanduanes police’s war on illegal drugs achieved yet another success with the arrest of a high-value target in Baras town who yielded P306,000 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation last week.

Sandy Malto Isaias, 45, a widower and construction worker from barangay Tilod, was snared in the operation conducted by joint operatives of the Baras police station, the Catanduanes Provincial Intelligence Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Catanduanes last Oct. 4, 2022 at 8:05 AM in barangay Moning.

The police seized 23 sachets of suspected shabu with a total weight of 45 grams, along with a Caliber .38 revolver loaded with four rounds of ammunition.

The suspect failed to provide documents that would confirm registration and license of the pistol under his name.

The following day, the police captured the Number 1 Municipal Most Wanted Person of the San Andres police station in an operation in barangay Ogbong in Viga.

Joint elements of the San Andres and Viga police stations and the Catanduanes 1st Police Mobile Force Company’s 3rd Maneuver Platoon led by deputy chief of police Lt. Fidel Romero apprehended Albert Clavo, 32, a resident of Puting Baybay, San Andres, wanted by the Regional Trial Court in connection with a criminal case for statutory rape filed against him by a 15-year-old girl.

He will be held without bail during the conduct of the hearings of his case.
