Virac police authorities are still investigating the death by hanging of an 18-year old man in Bigaa, Virac, just hours after he attended a Christmas party in a neighboring barangay.
According to the report sent by Virac police officer-in-charge Major Robert Kevin Caparroso, tricycle driver Willy Talan, 46, went to the station and informed that at around 2:40 AM of Dec. 19, 2021, he found the lifeless body of his son Willyberto hanging from the ceiling of his room by a rope wrapped around his neck.
He said that they had just come from a Christmas party in Calatagan proper and that prior to the incident, he did not observe any unusual behavior on the part of his son.
The investigator on duty immediate proceeded to the area for follow-up investigation, with the Philippine Red Cross’ Emergency Response Unit requested to render assistance.
