Island’s No. 7 Most Wanted man nabbed in Antipolo City

A native of Gigmoto wanted for multiple cases of rape has been arrested in Antipolo City where he has
been hiding for 10 years now.
A manhunt operation conducted by operatives of the Gigmoto police station tracked the man, identified
only as “Isko,” to barangay Inarawan where he was arrested at 9 AM of Nov. 18, 2021 on the strength of
a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court of Virac.
The jobless fugitive, now 54, fled to avoid being arrested in 2009 after the sexual abuse charges were
filed by the young victim and her mother.
According to the victim, she had been raped many times by the suspect in barangay District III since 2004
when she was just 10 years old.
Brought back to face justice in the island province, “Isko” will remain in detention during the hearing of the
non-bailable cases in court.
Police chief Capt. Lester Quililan said the arrest of the suspect after more than 10 years in hiding is the
result of the heightened monitoring and intelligence-gathering of the local police in tracking the present
location of wanted persons.
Together with the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), the Gigmoto MPS vowed to strengthen
its campaign against the abuse of women and children, especially in making the public aware of the need
to protect this vulnerable sector of society.
It urged anyone to immediately inform the police regarding any case of abuse against women and
children so that it would be immediately acted upon.
