Batangas, Philippines — The ARDCI Microfinance, Inc.’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Coordinator along Operations Heads (OH) and other ARDCI staff brave the ash fall in various areas of Batangas and some parts of Cavite to provide necessary goods for aggrieved ARDCI members affected by the eruption.

The ongoing operations started on January 16, Thursday, five days after the Taal eruption.
The volcano started spewing ash on January 12, Sunday afternoon, which warranted an immediate evacuation especially those within the 14 kilometer “danger zone.” Since then, Taal has yet to refrain its volcanic activity.
Staff from ARDCI conducted its first relief op at ARDCI MFI Silang Branch, giving away five (5) kilos of rice to 1,287 members.
Their next stop was in an elementary school at Brgy. Dalipit, West Alitagtag, Batangas which serves as an evacuation center for ash fall victims near ARDCI Lemery Branch, feeding 57 families with lugaw and providing five (5) kilos of rice to 208 members.
They also stopped by at Alitagtag Plaza to give away the same amount of rice to 170 members. 20 sacks of rich were delivered to Brgy. San Jose and 50 members housed in Batangas Sports Complex were given five (5) kilos of rice each.
Their afternoon operation at Tanauan, Batangas occurred at the ARDCI Tanauan Branch where they handed rice to 2,245 members
