Three more islanders are new lawyers

Three more have been added to the list of new lawyers from Catanduanes who passed the Phillippine Bar examinations given by the Supreme Court last year.

Atty. Marianne Balane Sarmiento-Sapaula is the eldest daughter of Atty. Arnel Sarmiento and Elisa B. Sarmiento.

She obtained a BS in Community Development from the University of the Philippines and a Juris Doctor degree from Arellano University.

Married to Samuel C. Sapaula, she currently works at the Legal Department of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as Legal Assistant III and is due to be promoted to Attorney 3.

Atty. Paul John Ramos Pacheco is the son of Jovencio G. Pacheco of Jovellar, Albay and Luzviminda Aquino Ramos-Pacheco of Oco, Viga, Catanduanes, and a first cousin of Atty. Aristotle V. Ramos, also of Oco, Viga.

An AB Philosophy graduate of Mater Salutis College Seminary in Daraga, Albay, he obtained his law degree at Aemilianum Coillege of Law Inc. in Sorsogon City, the hometown of his wife Dhona Jeremias-Pacheco with whom he has four children.

The third Bar passer is Atty. Renante Benavidez Ramos of Hawan Grande.

According to a netizen, the alumnus of Hawan Elementary School and Hawan National High School  his BSBA degree, major in Marketing, at CatSU.

Currently working as legal researcher at Bartolome Agpaoa Cantil and Associates Law Office, he, his wife and two kids reside in Mandaluyong City.

His brother, Atty. Cayetano Ramos, was reportedly the first lawyer produced by Hawan Grande.
