Bugao man surrenders to face cattle-rustling rap in Tabaco City

A resident of Bugao in Bagamanoc voluntarily surrendered to the local police last week 26 years after being charged with cattle rustling in Tabaco City.

Personnel of the Catanduanes 2nd Police Mobile Force Company led by PCpl Mark Joseph Argarin together with Bagamanoc MPS led by PCpl Jayson B Severino, assisted by Barangay Kagawad Mark Louie Fernandez,  arrested Romeo Basilia Fernandez, 60, a laborer, last Dec. 10, 2025.

He had been the subject of a 1999 warrant of arrest issued by Tabaco City Regional Trial Court Branch 17 Presiding Judge Virginia Almonte in connection with Criminal Case No. T-3131 for violation of Presidential Decree 533 or the Anti-Cattle Rustling Law of 1984, with bail set at P36,000.
