A laborer from San Andres town was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation last week, with law enforcers confiscating two sachets of shabu as evidence.
A report said the suspect as Jomar T. dela Cruz, 29, a resident of barangay Divino Rostro, tried to sell a medium-sized sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride to an undercover police officer for P500.
During a subsequent search by the members of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, the police found another medium-sized sachet containing the same suspected drug, with an overall weight of 0.12 gram and an estimate street value of P8,160.
He will be charged with violation of Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
