Two male individuals, one of them included in the list of Bicol’s most wanted persons, were taken into custody by law enforcers to face multiple cases in court for lustful acts committed against minors.
Construction worker Jemar Sto. Tomas Tabuzo, 37, a resident of Dororian, voluntarily surrendered last June 19, 2025 with the assistance of District II barangay captain Maria Tarroza.
Ranked No. 5 Regional Most Wanted Person, Tabuzo was then arrested by joint elements of the Gigmoto police station led by PSSg Ronald Abogado, the Catanduanes Provincial Intelligence Unit (CatPIU) and Regional Intelligence Unit 5-Provincial Intelligence Team (RIU5-PIT) headed by PLt. Christian Dale Compas.
The arrest warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 43 Assisting Judge Candice Guada Cresilda Corter Almodovar-Tordilla in connection with two counts of violation of Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act, and one count of Acts of Lasciviousness under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code in relation of Section 5(B) of RA 7610.
Docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 11548, 11549 and 11550, the charges against the accused carry a bail of P180,000 each for his temporary liberty during trial.
A day earlier, the San Andres police headed by PMaj. Francis Tabo I collared Danilo Soliman Soliveres, 77, a jobless resident of Sapang Palay, in connection with two counts of acts of lasciviousness with no bail recommended.
Joint elements of the town police led by PCpl. Aaron Cardano implemented the arrest warrant issued by RTC Branch 43 Presiding Judge Ritche R. Regala pursuant to Criminal Case Nos. 7679 and 7680.
If found guilty of committing lascivious conduct with a child under 12 years of age, both individuals could be meted reclusion perpetua or imprisonment ranging from 20 to 40 years.
On the other hand, committing other acts of child abuse, cruelty or exploitation could mean an additional prison term of six years for the accused.
