DICT: Trainings, Serbisyo Caravans highlight National ICT Month this June

Digital literacy trainings and a Serbisyo Caravan to two geographically isolated areas in Catanduanes are among the activities planned by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) provincial office during the celebration of National ICT Month this June.

Provincial Director Mario John Gonzales told the Tribune that during the first week of the celebration, his office conducted three trainings at the Digital Transformation Center (DTC): Canva Training for Beginners on June 2; Introduction to Arduino UNO using Tinkercard on June 3; and Building Your First Game Using Godot Engine on June 4.

Last Monday, June 9, an eLGU Initial Coordination Meeting & PNPKI Orientation was held in LGU Pandan with the DICT team conducting an eLGU ICT eReadiness Validation at LGU Caramoran.

The Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) project, a core service of DICT, serves as the foundation for secure online transactions and digital communications across government agencies and, eventually, the private sector.

This infrastructure enables users of public networks to exchange data securely while ensuring the authenticity and integrity of digital transactions.

Tuesday, June 10, saw the completion of an eGov and PNPKI orientation at TESDA Cabugao in Bato and the conduct of a training on video editing using CapCut.

Set this June 11 is a Serbisyo Caraban to barangay Tucao in Caramoran, with another planned for Dugui San Vicente in Virac.
