The Pandan police has yet to disclose the results of its investigation into the death of a spear fisherman whose body was found at the shoreline of Marambong last Jan. 27, 2025.
The body of Jonel Trinidad Tumanlao, 33, a resident of San Roque, was found by another spear fisherman walking along the beach shortly before 8:30 PM that night. He was still wearing his clothes, with a fishing goggle on his face and a flashlight tied on his left hand.
Tumanlao, whose body was identified by his live-in partner, was reported missing two nights earlier after failing to return from spear fishing in the sea off sitio Borinay in the same barangay.
Meanwhile, the body of the 84-year-old man who went missing last Jan. 28, 2025 was found in a rice field four days later.
Panganiban police and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office had searched for any sign of Amadeo Villanueva Lopez of San Nicolas who was last seen in the vicinity of the Panganiban Central Elementary School.
Witnesses told the police that Lopez, who was wearing a light blue t-shirt, was seen at the back of the school during heavy rains and was thought to be either walking around or trying to get his carabao.
Last Saturday, Feb. 1 at about 4:20 PM, the body of the octogenarian was discovered lying in a rice field in sitio Tarahid in barangay San Pedro with no signs of struggle and the likelihood of natural or non-violent passing, the police reported.
