PERSONNEL OF THE MUNICIPAL AGRICULTURE OFFICE conduct the first depopulation of a pig farm in the Pajo area in Virac, almost four years after the last depopulation due to the African Swine Fever outbreak in February 2021. Following the positive test result of a piglet in Pandan last June 2024 and similar cases in the succeeding months, the ASF epidemic has reared its ugly head anew, threatening hog populations in four towns.
