
Following the 10th place feat of a nursing graduate recently, the Catanduanes State University had its second board topnotcher in two weeks with Kharlos Miguel Talan Bautista grabbing 8th place in the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) with a rating of 93 percent.
A cum laude graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science and a scholar of the DOST Science Education Institute, Bautista is a resident of Gogon Centro, Virac and comes from a family of musicians headed by his father Zaldy Bautista and mother Ma. Emilia Bautista.
The graduate of Gogon Elementary School and Catanduanes National High School plans to pursue a career in teaching.
“Iyon naman naman talaga ang gusto ko at dun ko nakikita ang sarili ko na mas magta-thrive pa in the future,” he told the Tribune.
During his review stint at the Carl Balita Review Center, he earned first place in the CBRC Provincial Teacher Education Quiz Bee and was a finalist in the national level.
