AN UNATTENDED COOKING FIRE nearly spread at a construction site in Calatagan Tibang, Virac last week but the timely arrival of responding firetrucks from the Virac Fire Station in the early dousing of the blaze. Aside from the workers’ lunch, the fire also consumed several cans of paint intended for a nearby house under construction.
