Virac’s Plaza Rizal will transform into a vibrant showcase of local craftsmanship and entrepreneurship as micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the capital town present their finest products at the upcoming Summer Barakalan Trade and Tourism Fair next month.
Organized by the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Virac through its Tourism Development and Promotions Office, and with the support of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Catanduanes Provincial Office, the event will run from March 22 to April 4, 2024.
Mayor Sammy V. Laynes has requested entrepreneurs in the municipality to participate in this annual extravaganza that celebrates community, creativity, and commerce. He also invites local residents as well as tourists take the opportunity to immerse themselves in Virac’s rich local culture and discover the outstanding products crafted by the town’s MSMEs.
To secure a slot in the trade and tourism fair exhibit, interested participants can contact the Virac LGU Tourism Development and Promotion Office at the Virac Municipal Building, or message them on their official Facebook account (Municipal Tourism Virac).
The application for the trade fair booth slot will start from February 28 to March 5, 2024.
The fair is open to a diverse range of participants, including organizations, associations, and individuals producing locally made products who are residents of Virac.
Additionally, local businesses that contribute to the community’s economy with their unique products and services are encouraged to join.
Summer Barakalan promises a vibrant atmosphere from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., providing ample opportunities for both exhibitors and visitors to engage in the festivities.
To add a competitive edge, the Virac LGU will recognize the Best Dressed Booth among the participating exhibitors, adding an element of excitement to the event.
