PCol. Rayan Villar Ador arrived at Camp Francisco Camacho last Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, to formally assume command as Provincial Director of the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office.
He exchanged posts with former PD PCol. Benjamin Balingbing Jr., who is now the chief of the Regional Information Communication Technology Management Division (RICTMD) at the Regional Headquyarters at Camp BGen Simeon Ola in Legazpi City.
They were part of the four high-ranking police officials who have been reassigned to new positions in the recent reorganization within Police Regional Office 5 last Jan. 5 in a turnover ceremony spearheaded by Acting Regional Director PBGen Andre Perez Dizon, together with Deputy Regional Director for Operations PCol. Jesus Rebua and Chief of the Regional Operations Division PCol. Virgilio Olalia.
PCol. Erwin Lanuzga Rebellon, who previously headed the Regional Highway Patrol Group (RHPG) took over as the new City Director of Naga City Police Office, replacing PCol. Nelson Pacaldo, who has been reassigned to the Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Section while waiting for his new assignment.
“This strategic reassignment aligns with the continuous endeavors to enhance the skills and expertise of the personnel within the unit, ultimately aiming to elevate the standard of services provided to the public. The reshuffling reflects a commitment to ensuring that each officer is placed in a role where their strengths and capabilities can be maximized, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Police Regional Office 5,” the Bicol PRO5 said in a statement.
A native of Legazpi City, PCol. Ador will turn 54 years old this Feb. 6 on his 25th year in the police service during which he has earned various medals and commendations.
A graduate of Criminology from Bicol College and holder of a degree in Master of Science in Criminology from the University of Saint Anthony, he has served in various positions in the PNP, rising through the ranks until he became regional chief of RHPU in Region 4B.
After a brief stint at the PNP National Headquarters, he was assigned to PRO5 in 2018, obtained his Police Executive Service Eligibility the following year and was designated chief of three divisions prior to his last posting.
