THANKFULLY, NOBODY WAS HURT when this towering acacia tree at the side of Catanduanes Hone Depot in San Isidro Village, Virac fell on the road last Monday morning, Jan. 9, 2023, crushing a tricycle that its driver parked in the shade provided by the tree. People who were in the vicinity, including the tricycle driver, reportedly managed to run away as the tree, its roots apparently loosened by recent rains and giving way to the tree’s weight. The obstruction was later removed by personnel of the Virac MDRRMO. The picture is a composite of three photos taken by Engr. Edmund Talaran and Engr. Roger Reyes, who happened to pass by the road on their way to the DPWH Catanduanes District Engineering Office.
