THE ENTERTAINER-PHILANTROPIST Governor of Sorsogon, Jose Edwin “Bobot” Hamor (in red), brought the entire officialdom of his province, as well as a busload of young entertainers, to provide a respite to an overflow crowd of thousands at Plaza Rizal for the 2022 Pasalinggaya sa Virac last Dec. 9. Hopeful ticket holders stood in their spots for about six hours for the raffle of 20 motorcycles as well as scores of home appliances to end, interspersed by lucky individuals, including five birthday celebrants, picked out from the crowd to be given cash prizes ranging from P10,000 to over P30,000 each.
