For the second time this year, the Virac Revenue District Office was among the offices of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) that surpassed their collection targets by at least 20 percent.
In its latest update, the BIR said that out of the 132 district offices nationwide, 16 RDOs exceeded their collection target by more than 20%.
Included in the list was Virac RDO 69 at #10, with goal attainment of 129.85% for July to August 2022. It was the only BIR office from the Bicol region to make the list.
On the other hand, Legazpi City Revenue Region (RR 10) was in the Bottom 5 along with Iriga City (RDO 66.
“Once again, I commend out Collecting Offices that exceeded their August 2022 and July to August 2022 collection targets and give special compliments to those who surpassed their targets by at least 20%. Please continue your very good performance and in exerting efforts to consistently surpass your collection targets by 20% of more,” said BIR Commissioner Lilia Catris Guillermo.
The excess over collection goal, which is the basis for the commendation, does not include the office’s collections from one-time or non-recurring transactions, if any, such as sale of properties and shares of stocks, and collections from Donor’s Tax, Estate Tax (including Amnesty) and Documentary Stamp Tax.
