LEAPING ABOVE THE TATTERED CANVAS, an amateur boxer lunges at his opponent but fails to connect in one of the matches in the 2nd Calatagan Open Boxing Cup last Aug. 5-7, 2022 at the barangay plaza. Organizers mercifully covered the torn canvas with tarpaulin on the second night to prevent any injury to the competitors.
