Virac police officers responding to a report on domestic violence arrested a man for stabbing his live-in partner in Calatagan Tibang last week.
A concerned citizen called the police station sometime on June 6, 2026 regarding a stabbing incident in the barangay, with a team led by police chief PMaj. Kenneth Ding C. Gutierrez proceeding to the area and apprehending a certain “Boy.”
Initial investigation showed that prior to the incident, a heated argument ensued between the couple when the suspect tried to end their relationship.
In the midst of the quarrel, the 23-year-old woman identified only as “Mayi” punched her partner, who also lost control, got a bladed weapon and stabbed her.
