The No. 1 Most Wanted Persons of Caramoran and Bagamanoc, with both fugitives facing raps for sexual violence, were arrested by police authorities on the same day last week in separate incidents.
First to fall on March 20, 2026 was the No. 1 Municipal MWP in Caramoran who was served with the warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 43 in connection with a criminal case for statutory rape filed against him for violation of Article 266-A(1)(D) of the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 11648.
The report said his arrest was made possible by heightened coordination and intelligence sharing that led the police to where the accused was hiding.
That same afternoon, joint personnel of the Bagamanoc MPS led by officer-in-charge PLt. Raymond G. Vidal, the Regional Intelligence Unit 5 and Catanduanes Provincial Intelligence Team successfully intercepted the town’s No. 1 MWP at 4 PM at the pier site in Salvacion, Virac.
The target was apprehended following the issuance of an arrest warrant against him pursuant to the criminal charge for sexual assault of a child in violation of Article 266-A(2) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610 with bail set at P180,000.00.
