Joint elements of the Catanduanes police took down another high-value individual targeted by intelligence operatives in an anti-illegal drug operation in Baras town last Aug. 8, 2025.
Law enforcers belonging to the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) as lead unit, together with officers from the Baras police station led by deputy police chief PEMS Crisostomo Avila, the Catanduanes Police Intelligence Unit (CatPIU) and the 1st Police Mobile Force Company (PMFC) Benticayan detachment arrested Richie Barrameda delos Reyes, 42, a construction worker from Buenavista, Baras, after handing over the illegal drug to a poseur buyer in a buy-bust operation at 9:10 PM last Friday.
Among the items confiscated from the suspect were three plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, a genuine P1,000 bill and 14 pieces of fake P1,000 bills used as “boodle” money, a lighter, a plastic container, a mobile phone and the suspect’s black Suzuki Smash motorcycle with plate number 538EHB.
He will be charged with violation of Section 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 for the sale and possession of dangerous drugs.
