WORKERS OF THE VIRAC WATER DISTRICT construct a makeshift platform made of bamboo poles and wooden posts which will allow them to lift the heavy sections of twin pipelines severed by a landslide during super typhoon “Pepito.” Three teams of welders, including one sent by ARDCI Micro-Finance, Inc., are working into the night to try to restore water supply to majority of the Virac población despite the difficulty posed by the mountainous terrain.
