Drinking spree leads to hacking in Bagamanoc

A heated argument during a drinking spree in Bagamanoc town last Friday led to the hacking of a 48-year-old abaca stripper.

The Bagamanoc police station identified the victim as Eddie Santos Turado, who was brought to the Viga District Hospital after initially being treated at the Rural Health Unit.

According to the report, the victim and the suspect, fisherman Ramon Gianan Turado Jr., 67, had a drinking spree in barangay Salvacion sometime before 11:30 AM of Oct. 4, 2024.

However, a heated argument erupted between the two men, with an angry Ramon using a bolo to attack Eddie in the body.

Informed by RHU personnel, elements of the Bagamanoc MPS proceeded to the barangay where they arrested the suspect. The report did not state the relationship between the two individuals.
