The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Cafanduanes expressed satisfaction last week in registering a total of 240,775 residents, representing an enviable 97 percent of its overall target. in the PhilSys Step 3 Registration On-Wheels in the province.
It also disclosed that the number of Phil-IDs distributed has already reached 91,335 according to Philpost.
It dedicated the huge accomplishment not only to the agency and its staff but also to the entire island community.
“Our wholehearted gratitude goes to our fellow Catandunganons for their full support for the conduct of the PhilSys Step 2 Registration On-Wheels,” the PSA said in a statement. “The 97% success rate reflects the invaluable cooperation of the local communities.”
It reiterated its invitation to those who have yet to register to join the rest of the people in the drive toward 100% registration, adding that working hand-in-hand would ensure a safe and more meaningful future for Catanduanes.
Meanwhile, two teams continue to visit far-flung barangays for the Step 2 Registration, with several villages scheduled in Pandan last weekend. This weekend, the teams are going to Gigmoto and Panganiban towns to address the need of unregistered individuals aged five years old and up.
Their PhilSys Registry Unit at the Catanduanes Provincial Statistical Office is open from Monday to Sunday to serve walk-in clients who desire to register.
