Pandan police authorities apprehended a 32-year-old man in barangay Libod last week in connection with twin charges of sexual abuse filed against him before the Regional Trial Court
The report identified the accused only as a certain “Myl” who was collared in an operation of the Pandan police station at 10:30 AM of Jan. 23, 2024.
According to the arrest warrant signed by RTC Branch 43 Acting Presiding Judge Ritche Regala, the accused is facing two separate cases of sexual assault in relation to Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, docketed as Criminal Case No. 11071 and 11072 and with bail set at P180,000.00 for each case.
Myl, who is reportedly in the list of Provincial Most Wanted Persons, refused to issue a statement and was placed in the Pandan MPS custodial facility pending his transfer to Virac.
In a related development, the #1 Most Wanted Person of Tigaon, Camarines Sur police station was finally arrested in Caramoran town last week.
Personnel of the Caramoran MPS led by Deputy Police Chief PEMS Raymond Vidal, accompanied by elements of the Tigaon MPS, Camarines Sur Provincial Police Office, and San Andres MPS, served the arrest warrant to the fugitive at 11:40 AM of Jan. 24, 2023 in barangay Camburo.
Ramon Pillos Carcer Jr., 45, married and a resident of San Miguel, Tigaon, has been accused of rape before the sala of RTC Branch 30 Presiding Judge Randi Carlo Aquino in San Jose, Camarines Sur, docketed under Criminal Case Nos. 2023-6310 to 6313 with no bail recommended.
In the neighboring town of Caramoran, police caught two abaca strippers in the act of hauling undocumented lumber last Jan. 24, 2024 in barangay Tubli.
The law enforcers were monitoring illegal logging activities when they chanced upon Justin Antonio dela Cruz, 19, and Wilbert Antonio dela Cruz, 25, while hauling 45 pieces of 2x2x12 lumber locally known as “dau” at 2:30 AM.
The two men were brought to the police station along with the lumber, which has an estimated market value of P18,000.
