The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) will conduct the 2019 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry (ASPBI) and 2019 Survey on Information and Communication Technology (SICT) in Catanduanes this Nov. 3-9, 2020.

A total of 55 sample establishments for ASPBI and 15 sample establishments for SICT will receive questionnaires, which will be collected on Nov. 10-27, 2020.

The ASPBI is one of the designated statistical activities of the PSA that generates essential statistics for economic planning and analysis. It is specifically designed to collect and generate information on the levels, structure, performance, and trends of economic activities of the formal sector of the countryโ€™s economy across regions.

On the other hand, SICT will collect information on the availability, distribution and access/utilization of ICT among establishments in the country, Specifically, the results will be used for assessment and monitoring the process of ICT in the country. The presence of a reliable, accessible, and affordable ICT infrastructure is necessary for the countryโ€™s participation in the information economy.

The authority and mandate of the PSA to conduct the survey emanates from R.A. 10625. Like any other surveys undertaken by the PSA, the data to be gathered in the said survey are for statistical purposes only and will be published in summary forms. Information obtained from the respondents are held STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL and are not used for investigation, taxation and law enforcement purposes and are not divulged to any person except authorized PSA personnel acting in the performance of their duties.
